Conference Overview
The 6th International Conference on Creative Writing took place from September 5 to 8, 2024, at the most modern university campus in Greece, the new facilities of the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani. The conference welcomed over 400 participants in person, bringing together academics, researchers, PhD candidates, postgraduate students, writers, and literature enthusiasts from various countries and continents.
The Interinstitutional Master’s Program in Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with:
- Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
- National and Kapodistrian University of Athens,
- Lund University,
- The Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus,
co-organized the 6th International Conference on Creative Writing, establishing it as a significant academic and literary event.
Keynote Speakers and Participants
Prominent scholars and literary figures participated as keynote speakers, sharing their expertise and passion for creative writing, reading, literary criticism, and textual analysis. The invited speakers included:

The conference was held under the auspices of the Region of Western Macedonia. Additionally, events focusing on Pontic Hellenism were organized under the auspices of:
- The historical association “Merimna Pontion Kyrion” of Thessaloniki,
