In October 2024, the Interinstitutional Master’s Program in Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia visited Guiyang University in China following an honorary invitation from the Ministry of Culture of China (China Guizhou Economic and Cultural Promotion Association) as part of the China-Europe 2024 cooperation initiative.
During this visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two universities, aiming to strengthen ties between the University of Western Macedonia and its Chinese counterparts. The primary objectives of this agreement include:
- The establishment of intercultural academic programs
- The promotion of intercultural dialogue between the two countries
- The encouragement of knowledge exchange
- The creation of long-term intercultural relationships and opportunities
- The advancement of innovation and creativity
- The development of closer collaboration between universities and organizations to support graduates in acquiring the skills and competencies required by the labor market, as well as fostering personal and professional growth.
TEARING and HEALING: China-Europe 2024 Art Exhibition
Under the auspices of the University of Western Macedonia, a groundbreaking and one-of-a-kind China-Europe 2024 Reciprocal Art Exhibition was organized. The exhibition, titled TEARING and HEALING, was hosted at the iconic Guiyang International Fashion Release Center, showcasing works by Chinese and Greek artists. The exhibition ran from October 17 to November 12, 2024.
